Sustainability and digitalisation join forces for Taiwan show

Fishery digitalisation and ocean sustainability trends will be among the sectors in the spotlight during December’s Taiwan International Fisheries and Seafood Show.

Due to the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, countries have implemented several prevention measures which heavily affected the global economy.

Taiwan, however, kept its industrial energy and economic growth despite the pandemic.

IHS Markit predicted Taiwan’s economic development in the 2021 third quarter reached 4.21 per cent, exceeding most of the developed countries.

The pandemic and the rapid growth of e-commerce, as well as the stay-at-home economy, boosted the demands of Taiwan’s frozen marine products, canned food and other storable fish processed foods and the cold chain equipment.

Taiwan International Fisheries and Seafood Show, TIFSS 2021, the country’s only international B2B trade show and the largest fishery promotion platform, will bring industry worldwide players together and build one of the largest O2O (online to offline) platforms in East Asia.

TIFSS 2021 will take place as an in-person show from December 2nd to 4th at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre while, in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and future digital marketing trends, TIFSS 2021 Online will also take place from December 2nd to 31st.

By visiting the virtual show, TIFSS 2021 Online, visitors can find a complete introduction and 360° & 720° product catalogues from more than 70 exhibitors worldwide while leaving a message or scheduling a virtual meeting to reach the exhibitors without the limitations of time and boundary.

Most importantly, visitors are able to join this grand event free of charge, by pre-registering for the show online.

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the organisation behind the show, said: “With the online exhibition, you can take advantage of the one-month exhibition and collaborate with buyers from Taiwan and East Asian countries to increase your global sales without the cost of booth decoration, labor and shipping. Fishery companies from Latin America, Indonesia and Malaysia have already signed up for the exhibition.
