Solar seeks German sales experts

Carp angling brand Solar Tackle is on the hunt for two area sales managers to help grow its business and expansion across Germany.

Each role – one in northern and one in southern Germany – involve driving sales growth in that territory by identifying and securing new retail partners, strengthening relationships with existing customers and ensuring outstanding customer service.

The candidates will also play a key role in brand promotion, both through in-store engagement and at public angling events, while contributing to the development of a strong sales team to further establish Solar Tackle’s presence in the region.

The successful candidates will be required to identify and acquire new retailers and distribution partners, develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market penetration and revenue and maximise sales opportunities with existing customers by introducing new products, promotions and merchandising support.

They will also need to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with store owners, managers and buyers, provide exceptional customer service, ensuring stock levels, product knowledge and brand representation are at their best while conducting regular store visits, training sessions and follow-ups to give retailers the tools to drive sales.

In addition, the roles involve representing Solar Tackle at key trade shows, exhibitions and angling events across the country, engaging with the angling community to drive brand awareness and customer loyalty while working alongside the market teams to develop region-specific campaigns and promotions.

They will also help in identifying and mentoring potential brand ambassadors as well as provide training and guidance for team members and retail partners to uphold the company’s values and sales strategies.

Each candidate will need proven sales experience, ideally in the angling, outdoor sports or related industries, a strong track record in business development and account management, fluency in written and spoken German and English, excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills and must be self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently.

While the role is remote, willingness to travel extensively across Germany is a must and a passion for carp angling and a deep knowledge of the industry is preferred.

In return Solar Tackle offers a competitive salary and performance-based commission, travel expenses, a dynamic and passionate work environment and the opportunity to grow with a leading angling brand.
