More speakers added to Angling Summit line up

Four more key speakers have been added to the EFTTA Angling Summit line up in Berlin at the end of November.

The inaugural event, being staged at hub27 in the Berlin Exhibition Grounds on November 28th, will play host to a string of industry experts, analysts and important players from across the globe.

Among the latest ones announced is Glenn Hughes, the president of the American Sportfishing Association, who will outline the work the ASA does including its goals, funding, structure, partnerships and resources.

Meanwhile, Tintii Drake, from the Finnish Federation of Recreational Fishing will reveal how her organisation has encouraged more women to pick up a fishing rod and discover angling.

Peter Lyngby, president of the Danish Tackle Trade Association, will explain what the Single-Use Plastic Directive and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) means for tackle businesses, not just in Denmark but across the European Union.

And David Lyons, director of UK mental health charity Tackling Minds, will explain how fishing benefitted him and is now doing the same for thousands of other people.

They join DG Mare, EC’s fisheries control expert Joana Patricio, Professor Robert Arlinghaus from IGB and Humboldt University, Berlin, Alienor director Cécile Fouqet and Robert Marx, president of the European Boating Industry.
