Fly tyers set to descend on New Jersey

Around 100 professional and amateur fly tyers – among the best the world has to offer at turning feathers, fur and foam into fish-catching lures – are scheduled for demonstrations, seminars and individual instruction at the 34th annual International Fly Tying Symposium in New Jersey in November.
The tyers will display their craft virtually non-stop at the DoubleTree Hilton hotel and conference center in Somerset on November 15th and 16th, from 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4.30pm on Sunday, said event director Chuck Furimsky.
Among those registered and scheduled to display their skills at the Symposium are Tim Flagler, Jeff Rowley, Mike Komara, Harry Schoel, Tim Cammisa, Barry Ord Clarke, Doug Yocabet, Son Tao, Cheech Pierce, Joe Jackson, Allen Rupp, John Shaner,and Steve Culton.
Admission is $20 on Saturday, $15 on Sunday,or $30 for a two-day pass. Children age 5 and under are free; children ages 6-12 are $10. Admission is by cash only at the box office.
All displays, seminars, and demonstrations are included free. Individual special classes are priced separately.
Reservations for reduced Symposium room rates are available at the host hotel.
