US-based PRADCO Fishing has reached an agreement with British brand owner and wholesaler Fishing Matters to be its official distributor for the United Kingdom and Ireland.

Fishing Matters, based in Somerset, England, is well known for its hook brands Cox & Rawle, Partridge of Redditch and SPRITE.

PRADCO, based in Fort Smith, Arkansas in the USA, has made a name for itself with famous fishing lure brands, which include Heddon, Bomber, Cotton Cordell, Rebel, YUM, BOOYAH, Bobby Garland and more.

Mark Hamnett, managing director at Fishing Matters, said. “PRADCO’s brands are a strategic fit for our business.”

Mark actually lived and worked in the US for many years and began collecting Heddon Lures so has a good knowledge of PRADCO’s many brands and its products.

Bruce Stanton, vice-president and general manager of PRADCO Fishing, added: “Mark clearly understands where our brands fit in the UK landscape, both in saltwater and freshwater markets. We are very fortunate to be working with him and his team.”

Fishing Matters has been distributing fishing products in the UK since 2005. PRADCO was founded in 1962 and the oldest brand in its portfolio – Heddon – can trace its history back to 1894.
