Far Bank promotes new CEO

Far Bank Enterprises, the parent company of major brands Sage, RIO Products, Redington and Fly Water Travel, has promoted Chief Operating Officer Ryan Hamilton to the position of CEO.
Kris Klein, Far Bank’s CEO since 2020 and long-time member of the board of directors, will continue his engagement with the business as a board member while also spending the next year onsite to mentor Ryan and the senior leadership team.
The firm said the move was designed to continue accelerating company growth and leadership in a rapidly evolving fly fishing industry.
Ryan joined the organisation in 2020 as Chief Financial Officer and has increased his responsibilities over the last four years to include HR, IT and strategic planning.
In addition, he has stepped into leadership positions in the fly fishing industry, including his current role on the board of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA). His track record of modelling growth and profitability has had an immediate positive impact on Far Bank.
Ryan said: “I’m honoured to step into the role of Chief Executive Officer at such an exciting time at Far Bank. We have an incredible team and strong foundation built under Kris's leadership and I’m committed to building on that momentum.

In addition, Far Bank has continued to evolve and strengthen its senior leadership team. Mike Moore joined Far Bank as Chief Revenue Officer in 2024 and Tom Larimer was brought on as director of wholesale sales to intimately engage with the specialty fly fishing channel.
Kurt Beers joined Far Bank as Director of IT, complemented by promotions within the organisation including Jake Rushing, formally RIO Product’s production manager to director of operations; Chris Walker leading a new function as director of product development at RIO Consumables and Peter Knox assuming the new role of director of product development in hard goods.
