China Fish show goes online

To beat Covid-19, the next China Fish 2021 show is being staged virtually, with overseas buyers being able to ‘meet’ with suppliers online from October 18th to 31st.

Following the earlier successful launch of the One-on-One Video Connection Agent Service, which allows registered buyers to view products and exhibitor information on the China Fish website in advance, then choose the products and suppliers that they are interested in, the show organisers have gone one step further for this event.

The 14th CGC (Weihai) Expo is scheduled to be held from October 23rd to 25th but, for overseas visitors, it will see the China Fish All-In-One Platform being used, allowing buyers to book slots with agents in advance.

This platform provides multiple services to the international buyers both online and offline.

Online services:

 Source products and suppliers

 Enquiry

 Product Showcase Live Stream

 Meeting online

 Instant chat with suppliers online

 Sign contracts

Offline services:

The suppliers are carefully selected by the organisers and, at the time of writing, more than 360 companies with 5,291 products were available via the online platform. It is also secure and private while also being a convenient way for buyers to source their requirements.

And, in order to enhance the efficiency, show service agents will be there to help you. Though the platform is still under construction, it is being improved day by day and the organisers hope it will help everyone in the tackle trade.

China Fish is still putting efforts into the industry and trying to hold more shows in various forms while searching for new to develop the trade and it promises more surprises in the near future.

BACKGROUND

At the beginning of 2020, the Covid-19 epidemic was like a bolt from the blue and most of exhibitions and shows had to be cancelled or postponed, the trade had to be shut down and it was impossible for people to visit China to purchase. In order to reduce the impact on tackle industry, China Fish has held four real shows in Weihai successfully between 2020 to 2021.

The 7th CGC (Weihai) Show held from September 12th to 14th, 2020 at Weihai International Exhibition Center was one of the first held successfully after the Covid-19 outbreak in China.

Though the epidemic was under control, it was still not easy to hold exhibitions or shows in the country. China Fish not only provided personal and public protection equipment and made prevention plans but also kept the number of attendees to a safe quantity for the health and safety for all the people on site.

There were 377 exhibitors and 908 Chinese buyers from 410 fishing tackle companies attending the show. Compared with the previous shows held by China Fish, it was a small one, however, it offered some hope.

China Fish kept receiving inquiries from the overseas buyers asking when they could attend an event to meet Chinese suppliers.

The organisers found it necessary to hold a special show for these buyers, so very quickly the 13th CGC (Weihai) Expo was held from in November, also at Weihai International Exhibition Center. It was here the organisers introduced the One-on-One Video Connection Agent Service, a new way for the buyers to visit the show.

There were 241 exporting fishing tackle enterprises exhibiting at the show, and 194 of them displayed their products online, 807 Chinese buyers from 365 companies visited the show, 229 international buyers from 59 countries and regions registered the show and 32 of them booked the One-on-One Video Connection Agent Service, with companies using it hailing from Australia, France, Italy, Japan, Poland, South Africa, UAE and the USA.

The positive feedback encouraged the organisers to try an improved version at the 8th CGC (Weihai) Show and the 1st WBS (Weihai Boat Show). There were 235 exhibitors, 988 Chinese buyers from 443 fishing tackle companies and 15 tackle companies using the service.
