Categories and rules for EFTTEX product showcase announced
Details of the 2026 Best New Product Awards – a highlight of the European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition (EFTTEX) this summer in Barcelona – have now been released.
Exhibitors can enter up to 12 products for judging, with 30 categories in all at the show from June 10th to 12th at the Fira Barcelona Montjuïc. The winners will be announced during the ever-popular Gala Dinner on the second evening of the event, Thursday, June 11th
Judging will take place on Wednesday, 10th June and on Thursday, 11th June, until midday. Judges will be asked to choose their favourite product in every category. The products will be judged using the following criteria: innovation, usability, design, quality and practicality.
A judge’s first choice will be awarded three points, then two for second choice and one for third choice, before being totalled.
The closing date for entries is June 2nd, 2026 and no products will be accepted after this date.
Exhibitors will need to take their product samples to the Best New Product Stand (stand G50) between 9am and 5pm on Tuesday, June 9th.

*A category will only be judged if it has a minimum of three entries.

To enter, exhibitors simply need to click on the link they received via email and fill out the entry form for each products to nominate them then supply a high-quality image of each.
