Search is on for Strike King brand vice president

Strike King, one of the key brands in the giant, US-based Rather Outdoors stable, is on the lookout for a brand vice president.
The role will involve developing and implement the Strike King’s long-term strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, managing daily operations of a full-service consumables team covering line, bait, terminal tackle and accessories, leading product development as well as collaborating with the brand marketing and marketing ops teams to ensure Strike King’s visual identity and campaigns align with company core values as well as helping the sales and supply chain teams launch new products.
Additionally, they will need to facilitate and determine forecasts for product development projects, monitor trends, competitive landscape and consumer behaviour, conduct consumer research and feedback, provide regular reports to senior management on performance and progress.
The role, which will also mean fostering a collaborative environment to ensure all team members are aligned with brand goals, will require up to 20 per cent of its time travelling both across the US and internationally.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience managing or operating a successful bait or lure brand or related outdoor products, three to five years’ experience in brand management, experience in managing cross-functional teams, a strong understanding of brand development, consumer behaviour and market research along with an understanding of financials, margin and product pricing.
They will also need to be adaptable to changing market conditions and adjust brand strategies accordingly, demonstrate creative thinking, problem solving and drive innovation.
Excellent communication, organisational, and project management skills are vital, as are interpersonal and facilitation skills, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows-based systems, ideally a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field and fishing or outdoor industry experience.
