EFTTEX buoyant as venue hosts show

The organisers of the EFTTEX tackle trade show, which was postponed back in June because of Covid-19, have been heartened by news that the venue in Prague has reopened and staged its first event in months.

It is understood the team at the PVA Expo had worked tirelessly to implement health and safety procedures recommended by the Czech government, allowing it to stage a large-scale exhibition for the first time since the pandemic. It has given the organisers, the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association (EFTTA), a boost as they begin work on the 2021 EFTTEX Show, scheduled for June 4th and 5th.

The ‘For Pets’ show occupied more than 8,000s q m and welcomed 101 exhibitors from countries including Germany, Slovakia and the Netherlands.

The 8,477 domestic and international visitors were able to attend thanks to increased hygiene measures, hand sanitisers placed at all entrances and toilets, single entrance and exit points for each event sector and an ABIRUN APC monitoring system to limit the number of people within an area.

The venue team said the event was a success, received great feedback and is looking forward to hosting more exhibitions throughout the autumn and winter months.

EFTTEX manager Vicki Seymour said: “We have been in contact with the PVA Expo Centre throughout the summer months and are very pleased to hear of the success of their recent exhibition. Whilst the rules and regulations might be changing throughout Europe constantly, it is good to know that the events industry is working hard to bring exhibitions back to the world and we will certainly be learning lessons from every event we hear about and will implement everything possible to make EFTTEX 2021 the safest for those travelling for the show.”

New stand bookings will open on November 2nd along with the online exhibitor manual, while pre-registration for visitors is set to launch on January 5th, 2021.
