Global hook giant Mustad has unveiled what it says is another industry first with the launch of its Ultra-Nor ranges.

The firm says its heritage in innovation has led to the development of cutting-edge machinery designed to maximise wire strength and minimize fish loss.

Mustad’s patented Ultra-Nor forging technology presses a channel into the wire, strengthening the wire by increasing the diameter where it matters most.

Applied to many of Mustad’s legendary hook styles, the firm claims that Ultra-Nor improves pull strength by up to 20 per cent.

Among the hook ranges featuring Ultra-Nor technology are Kaiju in-line and single and treble, jigging Assist, Ruthless spade and in-line, Hoodlum, Notorious and Big Gun hook ranges.
