Mud Hole tees up $15,340 for community causes
In only its second year, Mud Hole Custom Tackle’s annual charity golf tournament raised over $15,000 for two central Florida charities: Mighty River Recovery and Seminole Junior Anglers.
This year’s community fund raiser took place at Oviedo’s Twin Rivers Golf Club, also the host course for the inaugural event in 2025. The 2026 tournament hosted 106 golfers,across 18 pristine holes with ideal weather and plenty of Florida sunshine.
Kevin Landers, Mud Hole’s event and community marketing manager and tournament director said: “It was a beautiful day for the Mud Hole Charity Golf Classic and we’re very pleased with the tremendous turnout.
“In our second year, the event has grown significantly. We’re so thankful for our event sponsors, Twin Rivers Golf Club, all the participants, and the Central Florida community as a whole. Their generosity is making a profound impact with our charities.”
The two organisations shared the $15,340 in donations from the Classic. Both Mighty River Recovery and Seminole Junior Anglers also participated in the event, helping to manage on-course activities, actively generating donations for their organizstions, and even serving the Mission BBQ-provided lunch at the event’s awards ceremony.
Funds from the event were generated through greens fees, raffle ticket sales for a wide variety of donated items, on-course donations, and mulligan purchases. All proceeds from the event are donated directly to the benefitting charities.
Mud Hole Custom Tackle vice-president and participating golfer Hunter McKamey, added: “Working closely with these amazing organisations throughout the year, we get to see their contributions to our community firsthand. Not only are we proud to help Mighty River and SJA continue their individual missions, I enjoyed a great day out on the course too!”
