The Big One Show at Farnborough has been postponed

To date, The Big One has been following Government guidelines regarding the continuation of our event, given the outbreak of Coronavirus.  However, as the situation has developed, we have listened to the concerns, from all parties, around the health and welfare of our visitors, exhibitors and staff.

We have therefore taken the extremely difficult decision to postpone The Big One Show until later in the year, when we plan to deliver the show you deserve.  We are now working through the ramifications of this unprecedented situation.

Message from Donna Harris and Vince Davies:

“I am sure that you understand how disappointed we are to postpone our 2020 Farnborough event. Our recent Stoneleigh event was a big success, we have had great feedback in terms of the environment, the operations and the results it delivered.  Postponing The Big One Farnborough is not a decision we have taken lightly, however the safety of our exhibitors, visitors and staff is of paramount importance.

We know how much you rely on our events and media to connect with existing and new buyers to introduce, trial and sell your products.  We are 100% committed to creating another great event later this year. As valued exhibitors and customers you will be given first refusal on all opportunities available.

Right now, we are focussed on communicating with you, our contractors, our angling talent and suppliers. As soon as we are confident we have addressed the impact of postponing the event we will prioritise creating some solutions to support you in selling the stock that you have invested in.

We will do our absolute best, as a key part of the industry, to support you through this unprecedented situation. Angling is an outdoor activity, that you can do in isolation and is good for your health. Like every business, we don’t know exactly how this will play out, but rest assured that we are in this together and will do our very best to support the sport we love.

Message from The Big One Show Team;

‘We are incredibly disappointed that we’ve had to take this action so close to the event opening. However, it became clear that the recent acceleration in Covid19 cases in the UK has led to heightened concerns for all participants and the show would be negatively impacted from all perspectives should we have proceeded. We understand how important the show is both from an industry and community point of view so we are pleased that we are able to postpone to later in the year when we are hopeful that the threat of Covid19 will have significantly receded. Please bear with us while we make all the necessary arrangements to facilitate this move and contact all participants’.


Q – The show has been postponed, will I be issued a refund for my stand?

A – Good news, your booking can be used for the new show dates. You don’t need to do anything.

Q – I can’t make the new date, can I get a refund on my stand space?

A – Yes, there will be the option to get a refund, we will be in touch shortly with all the information you need to confirm if you want to come to the new show or get a refund.
