Rachel Leinweber lands on AFFTA board

The American Fly Fishing Trade Association has appointed Rachel Leinweber from Colorado Springs outfitter Angler’s Covey to its board of directors.

She will fill a retailer seat on the board that was recently vacated by Andy Dunn who has joined Fishpond and Rachel, who is general manager of Angler’s Covey and its two other associated stores, will be serving the remaining two years of that seat’s term.

AFFTA president Ben Bulis said: “Rachel is a tremendous addition to our board. Her experience and perspective will play an important role in the work we do as an association. Our retailers are an important voice and she’s a strong representative who will make sure that voice is heard. It’s awesome to have her with us and we wish Andy all the best in his new endeavour. We’re really excited for him.”

Jim Bartschi of Scott Fly Rods, the AFTTA board chair, added: “We couldn’t be happier to have Rachel joining us. We have a lot of really exciting work ahead of us as a board and she’s going to be a welcome asset as we dig in. I’m proud to be part of such a talented and dedicated team. Our industry is better for their leadership.”
