Mikado briefs press at breakfast
Polish tackle brand Mikado unveiled its 2020 product range, along with its new showroom, during a well-attended media breakfast at its Abramis headquarters.
The Mikado team welcomed international and local media to this inaugural event, revealing some its latest gear and the redesigned showroom, which allows visitors to get hands-on with the brand’s entire tackle range.
Company president and co-founder Wojciech Kurowicki said: “The gear presented in the showroom has been divided according to angling techniques. We created a face of Mikado; that room exhibits our entire range and the presented gear reflects 30 years of our experience.”
Among the many products premiered during the morning and on display in the 2020 catalogue was the Dream Line series, boasting top specification.
This range consists of eight line covering Ice, Spinning, Method Feeder, Feeder, Classic, Match, Carp, Surf and two types of braids – a four-strand Ultralight and eight-strand Competition.
Each boasts features crucial for a given angling technique and come in various spools, diameters, colours and types.
Mikado’s head of product, Kamil Czermiński, explained: “We put a lot effort and time into the Dream Line series. We aimed to create products that would meet expectations of the most demanding anglers. I think what we managed to achieve will not only not disappoint but also it will positively surprise everyone.”
For the coming year, Mikado will offer many classics in fresh versions, including the Inazuma Pro rod with even better components, additions to the family of the legendary Lexus Sapphire rods – the Fazlite for perch fishing, and the Bixlite rod series, while carp anglers will get to experience the M-ka ‘big pit’ reel.
More accessories include the watertight Rig Box with magnetic latches and a handy “basket”-type seatbox with a platform and spinning chair. Another novelty is the Mikado Snap XXXS size – the smallest in the range, offering unparalleled durability.
