Management changes at Shimano Europe
Erik, who has been with the company for 23 years, has spent the last 11/2 years heading up the EU tackle brand and will now concentrate on managing the e-business and sales operation teams as well as studying and implement B2C business, leading market insight projects including customer relationship management, optimising channel management and aligning its EU marketing strategies between the various bicycle business units.
Erik, who was previously managing director of Shimano Benelux for both fishing and bikes, has contributed to the company’s strong development and gained wide experience across sales and distribution in all sectors.
Akira has been director of EU fishing tackle business development since October last year.
Shimano Europe Group president Marc van Rooij, said: “I am convinced that these appointments will lead to a further positive development of our business operations across Europe and count on [the industry’s] support.”
