Fishbrain has supply partners in mind as it unveils shop

Fishbrain, one of the world’s most popular social networks for anglers is tapping into the $48 billion US fishing retail sector with the launch of the Fishbrain Shop, an in-app marketplace allowing users to find and purchase gear from some of the world’s most respected brands.

Available initially in the USA – on iOS, Android and online –the Fishbrain Shop is designed to speed up the process of buying tackle through a central marketplace and the Swedish-based team behind the project is now looking for more supply partners.

The store will offer categories including baits and lures, rods, boat accessories, reels and more and Fishbrain says it already has some key brands featured.

In addition to being able to search for specific items and brands, whenever a user sees a catch by a fellow angler on their Fishbrain Feed they will be able to identify which gear was used and go directly through to the store to buy it.
