China Fish Show postponed

In a bid to control the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus which is sweeping the country and spreading further afield, the organisers of the China Fish show scheduled for early February in Beijing have postponed the event.

The news is especially disappointing as China Fish was planning major celebrations for its 30th anniversary exhibition.

The organisers say the decision was taken to both prevent and control the disease as well as ensuring the health and safety of its attendees and was made following an order issued by the Beijing Municipal Government.

The organising team also confirmed that those who were planning to attend may be able to have their hotel fees refunded and that they were working on this plan.

China Fish president Li Jiang added: “We are planning new days and place for the show according to the virus control in China. And we appreciate everyone’s support and understanding.”

More details and fuller story will appear in the March edition of Tackle Trade World.
