The European expansion of predator brand Westin has received yet another boost with the establishment of a distribution network in the Czech Republic, headed up by none other than Jakub Vágner.
The path of Denmark-based brand Westin has been one of international growth, cultivated by a philosophy of designing unique, innovative and high quality products.
The brand, which is owned by Fairpoint Outdoors, has grown rapidly around the world over the last five years, with more and more countries joining the queue to get their hands on its products. Because of this surge in popularity, the team at Westin has had to be meticulous about choosing the right partners that match its ethos and strategy. In its latest distribution territory, the Czech Republic, Westin has almost certainly achieved this.
Global fishing superstar and Czech native Jakub Vágner will be working with the firm, and has helped them set up an entire sales and sponsored angler network in the country to give it a full, high level of service to match the quality of its products.
“Personally, I very much look forward to working with Westin, one of the fastest growing companies in the market of spinning and predator fishing equipment,” Jakub told Tackle Trade World.
“As a rare exception, it also develops its own products. Unlike many companies that simply follow market trends, Westin is a trendsetter. You can tell by its products, be it lures or rods.
“They are unique, sophisticated and attractive. They are articles with a soul, and boast the reputation of being the gear of world champions. Just have a look at Westin Platypus, Hypo Teez ST, Twin Teez and Jätte and you will see what I am talking about. The company is also attractive business-wise. That is why I decided to spend my precious time with the superb Westin products.
“The aim is to make first-class angling equipment available to anglers in the Czech Republic. Westin is the first major global name in our portfolio of represented brands.”
The representation of Westin by Jakub’s company got off to a flying start. He exhibited the brand at the annual Fishing Show in Prague at the end of February, where the Westin W4 Vertical Jigging-T QL rod won a Best Product Award, showing that the appetite is there for the brand and its calibre of products.
