Vicenza, 28th February 2018 – Only smiles at Vicenza Exhibition Centre at the end of PESCARE SHOW 2018. The sports fishing and boating Show, organized by Italian Exhibition Group, gives signs of optimism to an increasingly young community that is sensitive to technological innovation and profoundly respectful of nature.
And the numbers award the efforts and substantial investments made to consolidate Italy’s leading Show, which is now at European levels with over 17,000 visitors in three days (14% more than in 2017), exhibitors increased to 220 and an exhibition area extended to 30,000 m². The growth on the foreign front was also important with an authoritative international attendance and the number of buyers increased by 25%. The constant growth trend in all three days, especially on Monday which focussed on traders, is also to be underlined.
The results provide a clear picture of sports fishing and boating and marks the consecration of a progressively more widespread trend that, during the Show of reference, was able to concretely record growth and stability.
The contents at PESCARE SHOW, which closed its doors at Vicenza Exhibition Centre yesterday, rotated around the following ‘active’ profiles: numerous Italian and international brands chose the Vicenza showcase to preview their products; sports federations announced the world’s top competitions scheduled for 2018; fishing locations presented their proposals under the banner of quality services; recreational boating at the Boating Show demonstrated a new and energetic face with the definitive affirmation of the ‘wrapping phenomenon'; the entire area dedicated to shopping experienced unprecedented success. Even the choice of layout was met positively by the companies and public. In fact, the debut of the Fishing Arena with its quality content was highly successful and the demo areas spread among the various halls and in the large fly fishing area proved to be extremely popular.
A success that also comes from the positive involvement of leading category associations, sports federations and fishing schools as well as attending top brands that made every effort to transmit know-how to the visitors. And the fishing population is becoming increasingly numerous: there are now three million anglers, the majority under 50 years of age, and it is estimated that the economic spin-off exceeds two billion Euros.
