Feeder Case Settled

“Preston Innovations Limited (‘Preston’) took action against Middy Tackle International Limited (‘Middy’) alleging infringement of intellectual property rights. The case has now settled.
Preston issued court proceedings against Middy in the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (claim number IP-2016-000186) claiming infringement of their intellectual property rights, specifically that Middy had introduced flatbed method feeders onto the market which infringed the design rights in Preston products.
Preston sought relief from the Court to include an injunction and damages against Middy. Middy defended the claim.
The case has now settled on terms which include that, with no admission of liability, Middy would from 31 December 2017 remove from sale it’s current Gripper flatbed method feeder products, the subject of the above case. Middy is to release a new range of Gripper deep channel flatbed method feeder products from January 1 2018. Further terms are to remain confidential.Preston
