the number one international fishing trade magazine.

Brussels will be the host city for the 2019 European Fishing Tackle Trade Exhibition (EFTTEX), after an absence of five years. It will be the third time that the famous old city will host the gathering.

It is understood Brussels was chosen over venues in Prague, Helsinki, Vienna, Madrid, Rimini, Hannover and Nuremberg. The Event will take place from June 13th to 15th.

Janet Doyle, the European Fishing Tackle Trade Association’s (EFTTA) general manager, confirmed: “We’re returning to Brussels in 2019 because EFTTA is gaining significant recognition at EU level. Between now and 2019 we expect to continue raising the profile of recreational fishing, giving us even greater strength in the projects that we are lobbying for. Choosing Brussels over the other venues that tendered feels like the right choice for that reason. This way we can show MEPs how important our industry is by hosting EFTTEX in the same city as the EU Parliament and Commission. Financially too, both times we’ve been to Brussels the show made significant profits and EFTTA has been able to invest these back into our lobbying projects.”
